[Spring boot] TestRestTemplate 401(authentication) 오류 발생해결

 

TestRestTemplate 를 사용하여 서버와 클라이언트의 인증값을 받아서 사용하는 프로젝트를 진행 중 인증되지 않은 사용자에 대한 API 접근에 대해서 unAuthentication 을 정상적으로 발생시키는지에 대한 테스트코드를 작성하여 실행하는데 문제가 발생하였습니다.

다음과 같은 오류가 발생하였는데, 에러로그를 보니 httpResource 를 읽다가 오류가 발생한 것으로 예상되었습니다.
해결방법을 찾아보니 다음과 같았습니다.

It is very difficult (impossible) to handle a 401 response in the RestTemplate with default settings. In fact it is possible, but you have to supply an error handler and a request factory. The error handler was obvious, but the problem is that the default request factory uses java.net which can throw HttpRetryException when you try to look at the status code of the response (despite it being obviously available). The solution is to use HttpComponentsClientHttpRequestFactory. E.g.

 

즉, 401(인증 처리)에 대한 응답을 핸들링하는 것에 대해 어려움이 있는데, response 의 상태 값을 읽으려고 할 때 읽을 수가 없어 HttpRetryException 예외를 던진다는 것입니다.

이 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 HttpComponentsClientHttpRequestFactory 를 추가해줘야 합니다.
RestTemplate 를 사용하며 발생한 오류같은 경우는 다음과 같은 dependency 를 추가해준 후 401 에러 핸들링에 대해 설정을 추가해줍니다.
